10 minutes to an hour, if you know what you're doing.

15 minutes unless your a total muppet.

Ivor the only water related thing behind the timing cover is the water pump. The thermostat on a '96 astra is at the top end of the top hose. Wont be using you to do a thermostat for me.

10 minutes my hole depends on engine but since the majority of astras have the theromstat located behind the timming area it can involve a bit of stripping but reply back engine size and wether 8v or 16v
