l have an intermittent fault with the starter motor.Occasionally when l turn the ignition on the lcd lights ups but the starter motor does not fire up.The dashboard lights dont go dim so l believed the fault lie with the ignition switch.l replaced this today but to no avail.Over the past few days it seems to be failing to start more often.can anyone point me in the right direction.Thanks

You need to get a test light (circuit tester) & place one end to earth (battery negative) & the other end to the small wire attached to the starter motor solenoid. Get a friend to turn the key to the start position and, if the light comes on but the starter does not operate, u need a new motor. If the light fails to light, u have a 12v feed problem to or from the switch itself.

It may be difficult to get at the starter motor from above & if you're unsure of which connection to test, take it to a garage.
