l changed the battery on my fob the fob seems to still work as the red light come on but it wont unlock or lock the car. ive put the key into the ignition turned the key twice to reprogramme it pressed both buttons but still nothing happens anyone have any clues
the oldbattery wasnt fully dead when l changed it

If you have followed the instructions in the owners manual to the letter and it still does not work then the battery has been dead for too long and it will have to be reprogrammed by a Vx dealer

If same as Vectra

1 Have the back off the fob & new battery unpacked ready, Once u remove the battery u only have 3 minutes to fit the new one, Then replace the back.
2 Sit in car with key in ignition turn ignition On, The reprogramme is only active for 10 secs. Press & release either button on the fob.
3 Your car doors should lock & unlock themselves to show reprogramming complete.
It may be easier to remove the fob from the key ring so u can get to buttons.
