when l start my vauxhall vectra in the morning a loud nois comes from the heating sisstom when l give it a big rev it goes away and it does not happen till the next morning any help would be gratfull
it sounds like a h hover when l start the car like a sucking sound then as soon as l do a big rev it goes off

Does this happen with just ignition or actual engine running? The only difference with engine running will be the distribution flaps - which r run by engine vacuum - starting to move; possibly as a result of the accumulator worn out or a vacuum line chafed under the bonnet. The accumulator is a black plastic box with two lines running to it on the rear inlet manifold on the engine. I've never actually seen a problem with that unit though after years of working on them.

This probably sounds like double Dutch but l could do with more information on the kind of noise. Distribution flaps r almost silent, the recirculation flap is the same so unless u r hearing air in the cooling system (bubbling/rushing noise), l am out of ideas.

Just a thought,my V6 Vectra was noisy first thing in the morning (particularly if it was damp) and it turned out to be the fan belt slack, if you revved it up, the noise disappeared! From inside the car, it did sound like the noise came from the heater vents - might be worth a try.
