anyone tell me if this is a good car or would you recommend it? i've found a 2003 1.7 DTl but someone has told me that it burns up oil too quick. anyone agree with this? need some feedback before l buy it.

l have heard that certain vaxhauls (opel) do tend to burn oil but it shouldnt be a problem with modern cars if you ar worried maybe look at other models of similar size like the renault scenic

This is not a particular problem with this model.

l own a 2005 vectra with a 2.0 dti and it doesnt use oil.its honest and reliable but speed is not its best point.hold out for the cdti which is a much better engine.quieter,better fuel economy and more powerfull.my 2.0 vectra gets 40 to the gallon round the doors so you should expect at least that from a meriva.
